Props & Extras // What to Bring

Many seniors struggle with what to bring to their session as far as props & extras. I believe that there is a fine line between enough and too much. Start with the priorities.

Are you in sports/activites? If so, make sure you have your uniforms, medals and all of your equipment. In this sense, I’d rather have it all than forget the ball. Haha see what I did there? 🙂 (More cheesy jokes to follow at your session.)

Got a furry friend you want to join us? Make sure you have someone to be in charge of getting Buddy to and from the session. It can get hot for pets in the car sometimes when we shoot for so long.

Accessories! Bring the fun, floppy hat. Bring the cool earrings. Bring the denim jacket. Small things that can be thrown in the car to add variety are always welcome.

After those main things, I would ask if the “prop” is something that really highlights your personality. We can always try to fit in all of the things, but I don’t ever want “stuff” to take away from you. Your props & extras need to highlight who you are.
