There is nothing I love more than spending time with a couple who is truly, undeniably in love. Ethan & McKenna are exactly that. High school sweethearts can grow into something beautiful and lasting, as they are now engaged! All those years of memories, milestones, and growth together make their bond even stronger.

During their engagement session, we explored the stunning Buffalo Ridge Resort in Gary, SD. The location was the perfect mix of rustic charm and natural beauty, setting the stage for an evening filled with laughter, sweet moments, and effortless connection. Walking through the historic buildings and gorgeous tree-lined paths, it was clear how much joy these two bring to each other’s lives, with every glance, every smile. It felt so natural and so them.

After about an hour, we made a quick escape just outside of town to chase the most breathtaking sunset by the lake. And let me tell you—it did not disappoint. The sky put on a show for us, with soft, golden hues reflecting off the water, creating the dreamiest backdrop for their final photos of the night. It was the perfect way to wrap up an already incredible session.

Being able to capture love stories like Ethan & McKenna’s is why I do what I do. It obviously brings me so much joy to freeze these fleeting moments in time. Moments that they’ll be able to look back on for years to come. And the best part? This is just the beginning. I cannot wait for their wedding this next August! It’s going to be absolutely amazing!
