French Park Engagement Session | Jason & Kristin

Such a beautiful evening for an engagement session spent with Jason & Kristin at French Park in Plymouth, MN! This was my first time visiting this gorgeous location, and I absolutely love discovering new places to shoot. The mix of lush greenery, quiet trails, and the peaceful lakeside setting made it the perfect backdrop for capturing their love.

I actually met these two at a surprise wedding last year! Kristin was a lovely bridesmaid, and a few months later, they reached out about their own wedding. I love when I get the chance to work with friends of my past brides and grooms—it feels like building this amazing little community of couples who are just meant to be in front of my camera.

From the moment we started, Jason & Kristin were an absolute joy to photograph. They are so down-to-earth and real with each other, which made every shot feel effortless. Their connection is undeniable—you can just tell how much fun they have together. And let’s not forget about their adorable pup, Kooper! Seriously, if you’re thinking about bringing your dog to your engagement session, let this be your sign—always bring the puppy. Kooper added so much personality to their session, and I’m pretty sure he stole the show more than once!

With everything that 2020 has thrown their way, Jason & Kristin have handled it all with such grace. Their October wedding is going to be a long-awaited, well-deserved celebration, and I cannot wait to be there to capture every incredible moment.
