If you are from the midwest, you know that the rain showers have been few and far in between. Even though we desperately needed it, it makes it a little hard to figure out what to do for an outdoor wedding and all the photos. However, shortly before Ryan saw Sophie for the first time on their wedding day, the rain stopped at the most perfect time for a super sweet first look. The rest of the day was history. We did portraits at McCrory Gardens in Brookings followed by a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Bennett Barn by Astoria SD.

The best part of the day was the quiet time these two took after their ceremony to sneak up to the hayloft and read the letters that they wrote to each other prior to their wedding day. It was such a special moment that I’m so happy we got to capture for them to remember forever. Congratulations Ryan & Sophie! I am so honored to have been able to photograph your day!
